U.S. President Donald Trump said on Wednesday that the United States will receive enriched uranium from Iran, as the two countries seek to reach an agreement to end the war in the Persian Gulf, UNN reports, citing Reuters.

"We're going to get it," Trump told a reporter as he left an event at the White House.
One of Trump's primary goals when launching military strikes against Iran was to ensure that Tehran does not develop nuclear weapons. Iran has not yet handed over more than 408 kg of highly enriched uranium.
As the BBC reports, U.S. President Donald Trump also predicted that the war in Iran would "end quickly" and stated that most people "understand" his goal of ending Tehran's nuclear ambitions.
His comments came after Iran stated that the U.S. proposal to end the war is "still under consideration."
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei told ISNA: "The American proposal is still being considered by Iran, and once completed, it will inform the Pakistani side of its opinion."

In response to an Axios publication, Ebrahim Rezaei, spokesperson for the Iranian Parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Commission, wrote on X: "The Americans will not get anything in a war they are losing that they did not get in direct negotiations."
He also said that Iran "has its finger on the trigger and is ready," and warned that if the U.S. does not "surrender and make the necessary concessions," Iran will "give a harsh and regrettable response."
As The Wall Street Journal notes, citing sources, Iran and the U.S. are working with mediators to develop a 14-point memorandum of understanding that would define the framework for a month-long period of negotiations to end the war.
According to sources, these discussion points will be the focus of negotiations that could resume as early as next week in Islamabad. Iran has expressed openness to discussing its nuclear program, softening its previous resistance, the sources added.
