Before the meeting, Trump stated he was ready to make a "final decision" regarding preliminary agreements between Washington and Tehran. According to CNN, the discussion in the White House Situation Room lasted about two hours; however, no official statements or decisions were released following its conclusion.

Iran claims contacts are ongoing

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei reported that contacts between Tehran and Washington are continuing, but a memorandum of understanding between the parties has not yet been signed. Additionally, there is currently no confirmation that the potential deal has been approved by Iran's Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei.
