A law on the special status of frontline territories will be developed in Ukraine. Budanov is counting on the prompt work of people's deputies and government officials to adopt what are effectively new rules.

The Head of the Office of the President, Kyrylo Budanov, stated that Ukraine is initiating the creation of an interdepartmental working group to immediately develop a single comprehensive law on special legal status and regulation of activities in frontline territories. Budanov reported this on Telegram, UNN reports.

The scale of challenges faced daily by residents of frontline regions requires serious decisions from the state. Together with Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko, government colleagues, and members of parliament, we held a coordination meeting regarding support for frontline territories. We must understand the clear language of figures: today, over 6 million of our citizens live on the line of fire in 10 regions. These are people who, despite the enemy's daily terror and hundreds of thousands of destroyed infrastructure objects, made the choice to stay in Ukraine – to work and live in their communities

He added that problems must be solved, ranging from the protection of energy facilities to local budget deficits, inequality in IDP payments, and the lack of security guarantees for medical workers, educators, and utility workers operating under shelling. The situation in frontline territories differs cardinally from the deep rear, so temporary solutions no longer work here.

We are initiating the creation of an interdepartmental working group to immediately develop a single comprehensive law on special legal status and regulation of activities in frontline territories. I count on the prompt work of members of parliament and government officials to adopt what are effectively new rules and specifics for the functioning of these regions. People living so close to the front line must have the absolute support of the state
