Global oil prices directly depend on the mood of US President Donald Trump. This was stated by Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico during a meeting with students in Ružomberok, UNN reports.
Details
According to him, due to events in the Middle East, it is "not the best time right now" worldwide.
"We are under pressure from oil prices, depending on how the US President sleeps. When he sleeps well, oil goes down; when he sleeps poorly and makes some statement, oil automatically goes up,"
He also criticized the activities of the United Nations regarding peace issues.
"Today, the UN is a laughingstock. Who stopped the Americans in Iraq? Who stopped the Americans in Iran? Who stopped the Americans, for example, in Venezuela? And I fear that other countries within the sphere of US interests will emerge. I am talking primarily about Cuba. And the story around Denmark and Greenland is not over yet, where the US will likely still manifest its interests,"
Furthermore, he did not rule out that the North Atlantic Alliance could soon collapse.
"The collapse of NATO could happen. Let's not pretend that NATO is immortal and that a situation where NATO could cease to exist is impossible," Fico added.
Recall
Recently, Slovakia filed a lawsuit against the EU decision of January 26, which regulates the phase-out of Russian gas imports and preparations for the termination of Russian oil imports.
