The State Commission on Technogenic and Environmental Safety, chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Oleksandr Kubrakov, together with representatives of the Ministry of Environment, SAUEZM, Ministry of Agrarian Policy and SES, agreed on forest fire prevention.
Following the discussion, officials announced the protection of forests, peatlands and farmland through 2024. In addition, explanatory work with the population on compliance with fire safety requirements will be intensified, UNN reports with reference to the Government portal.

During a meeting of the State Commission on Technogenic and Environmental Safety and Emergencies, the government considered a number of topics, including forest fire prevention.
The Ministry of Environment, the State Agency of Environmental Protection, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and the State Emergency Service made presentations.
A number of decisions have been made:
- It is planned to implement comprehensive action plans for fire protection of forests, peatlands and farmland through 2024.
- Preventive and preventive measures will be taken,
- It has also been instructed to intensify public outreach on compliance with fire safety requirements; to explain responsibility for violations through the media.

The Commission "decided to extend the ban on visiting places of mass recreation on water bodies in Donetsk, Dnipro, Zaporizhzhia, Odesa, Mykolaiv, Kharkiv and Kherson regions".
