"As a result of a strike on an energy facility, about 150,000 subscribers in Chernihiv district and the city of Chernihiv were cut off from power. Energy workers are already working to restore electricity supply," reported Chernihivoblenergo.
According to the Ministry of Energy, due to hostilities and shelling of energy facilities, some consumers in Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv, and Chernihiv regions remain temporarily without electricity supply.
Energy workers are working to restore power to Ukrainian homes as quickly as possible. Restoration work continues around the clock, the ministry added.
"No restrictions are forecast for today. Active energy consumption today should be shifted to daytime hours - from 11:00 to 15:00," the statement reads.
According to Ukrenergo, electricity consumption is showing an upward trend. Today, July 24, as of 09:30, it was 1.6% higher than at the same time the previous day – Thursday. The reason for the changes is cloudy weather in a significant part of Ukraine's regions. This causes low efficiency of household solar power plants and a corresponding increase in the volume of energy consumption from the general grid. Yesterday, July 23, the daily maximum consumption was recorded in the evening. It was 1% lower than the maximum of the previous day – Wednesday, July 22.
