Azerbaijan continues to increase its gas supplies to Europe, replacing Russia in a market that the Kremlin has controlled almost entirely for years. Slovenia has become a new buyer of Azerbaijani natural gas. This is reported by Deutsche Welle, UNN.

On August 1, Azerbaijani gas from the giant Shah Deniz field in the Caspian Sea began flowing to Slovenia, the state oil and gas corporation SOCAR reported.
Thus, Slovenia, which before the war in Ukraine supplied about 40% of its gas consumption through Gazprom, became the sixth European country to join imports from Azerbaijan.
