Two children and a woman returned from the occupied Luhansk region to the government-controlled territory as part of family reunification. Ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets emphasized Ukraine's interest in returning citizens home.
Two children have returned from the occupied Luhansk region, along with another woman, to the Ukraine-controlled territory as part of a family reunion, Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights Dmytro Lubinets said on Friday, UNN reports.

"As part of the family reunification provided for by the Geneva Convention relative to the Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War, a daughter and son from Luhansk region were returned to the territory controlled by Ukraine and have already met their mother. Also, a woman returned to her native land and was reunited with her daughter," Lubinets said on Telegram.
He emphasized that "Ukraine once again expresses its maximum interest in the return of our citizens home and is working on it.
