Paralympic Games

An Olympic and Paralympic Training Center designed by Italian architects is planned to be built on the shores of Lake Pulemetske. The facility is intended for the rehabilitation of people with disabilities and ATO/JFO participants.

Brovary has allocated UAH 1. 5 million to support Olympians and develop sports. The funds will be used to reimburse athletes' travel expenses and help participants of the Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Ukrainian para athlete Yegor Dementiev won a gold medal at the World Road Cycling Championships in Switzerland. He won the group race in the C5 class, which is Dementiev's second award at this tournament.

The President of Ukraine awarded state awards to the members of the Paralympic team for their performance at the Games in Paris. The Ukrainian athletes won 82 medals, ranking 7th in the medal standings.

9 Paralympians from Kyiv region received awards for their performance at the Paralympics in Paris. The silver medalists received prizes of UAH 700 thousand each, while other athletes received monthly scholarships of UAH 10 thousand each.

French police have set up security perimeters in Paris ahead of the Olympic Games. The city center is closed to traffic, a pass regime is introduced and 45,000 law enforcement officers are deployed to guard the opening ceremony on the Seine.
