A Russian missile strike on Zaporizhzhia kills 3 people and wounds 16. President Zelenskyy says Ukraine has submitted all requests for air defense systems to its partners, awaiting political decisions.

Commenting on Russia's brutal missile attack on Zaporizhzhia, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Ukraine has passed all requests for air defense to its partners. The only question is political decisions that can save thousands of lives, UNN reports.

"Now a rescue operation is underway in Zaporizhia after a brutal Russian missile strike. Currently, it is known about three dead people. My condolences to the families and loved ones. At least 14 people were injured. Everyone is provided with the necessary assistance. An office building was destroyed, a medical center and ordinary urban development were damaged. There may be people under the rubble. Maximum is being done for rescue, all services are involved," Zelensky wrote.

Zelensky stressed that each such strike proves that it is necessary to increase the capabilities of Ukrainian air defense.

"The world has enough systems to do this. We have passed all requests for air defense to our partners: both for "Patriots" and for other systems that can be effective in protecting lives. The only question is political decisions. And this is the decision of the US administration, the decision of leaders in Europe, the decision of other partners in the world. Decisions that can save thousands of lives and make Russian terror meaningless," Zelensky said.
