The advisor to the head of the Presidential Office explained that "strikes deep into Russia" mean the systematic destruction of Russian military infrastructure, logistics, and resources to weaken its ability to wage war in Ukraine.

The systematic destruction of Russia's military infrastructure and logistics will help weaken Russia. This is what is meant when they talk about "strikes deep into Russia," said Mykhailo Podolyak, advisor to the head of the Presidential Office, UNN reports.

Details

Podolyak  noted that it is not about symbolic, demonstrative single strikes for the sake of strikes... "This is about the systematic destruction of air bases, first of all, where strategic aviation is based, which, in turn, deliberately inflicts massive strikes on the civilian population and civilian objects of Ukraine. It is also the destruction of infrastructure and the provision of war. This is the destruction of military production and places of accumulation of resources," he wrote.

As Podolyak emphasized, the right strategy involves weakening Russia in three areas: increasing the cost of war, destroying logistics and increasing the time it takes to deliver resources to the battlefield, equipment and a general reduction in resources.

Addendum

The UK government has clarified that it did not give Ukraine permission to use Storm Shadows to strike at Russian territory, as stated by Prime Minister Keir Starmer.

As President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated , if the partners want Ukraine to win and succeed, all restrictions must be removed.
