Zelenskyy discussed air defense and a special tribunal with the President of the Spanish Congress. Spain will support the return of abducted children and Ukraine's European integration.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting with the President of the Congress of Deputies of Spain, Francina Armengol. They discussed defense cooperation, where Ukraine's key priorities are air defense and the development of the PURL and SAFE programs, UNN reports with reference to the Office of the Prosecutor General.

The Head of State thanked the parliament, the government, and the entire people of Spain for supporting Ukraine. The President noted the political decisions made since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion, particularly regarding military and humanitarian aid.
Zelenskyy and Armengol discussed defense cooperation, where Ukraine's key priorities are air defense and the development of the PURL and SAFE programs.
According to the Presidential Office, special attention was paid to the Special Tribunal for the crime of aggression against Ukraine and efforts to return Ukrainian children abducted by Russia.
"Throughout all these difficult weeks, months, and years of war, you have supported us; more than 20 resolutions were supported by the Congress. And we are very grateful for that. We thank you for deciding to support the future Tribunal against the aggression of the Russian Federation. Also, of course, the issue of our children. This issue is urgent,"
The President of the Congress of Deputies of Spain emphasized that her country would facilitate the return of Ukrainian children and implement relevant initiatives at the Congressional level.
Separately, the meeting touched upon Ukraine's European integration path. The President noted that Ukraine's full membership in the European Union is a reliable security guarantee for our state and all of Europe. Francina Armengol assured of Spain's support.
"We are trying to strengthen our support in various areas, particularly in the matter of European integration. We are always ready to help, perhaps also with technical aspects. We have been in the European Union for 40 years. Of course, everything we can do, we will do for you. And also at the level of our government, which constantly demonstrates our support,"
