Spain has received 265,000 Ukrainians and will continue to support Ukraine, the Speaker of Parliament stated.

Since the beginning of the full-scale war, Spain has received 265,000 Ukrainians and will continue to support Ukraine in all spheres. This was stated by the President of the Congress of Deputies of the Kingdom of Spain, Francina Armengol, during a speech in the Verkhovna Rada, UNN reports.

According to Armengol, Spain is one of the EU countries that has accepted the largest number of Ukrainian refugees.
Spain is the fourth country with the largest Ukrainian diaspora under EU temporary protection. Since the beginning of the conflict, we have received 265,000 Ukrainians who enjoy temporary protection in our country
The President of the Spanish Congress of Deputies emphasized that support for Ukraine is not limited to economic or military aid.
"We must continue to do everything possible to alleviate the difficult conditions that Ukrainians face every day both inside and outside the country, and especially the most vulnerable segments of the population – children," Armengol said.
She also recalled that Spain is participating in the international coalition for the return of Ukrainian children.
"Spain is part of the international coalition for the return of Ukrainian children and is fully committed to this goal," she noted.
Armengol emphasized that Madrid will continue to support Ukraine.
"Our country will continue to provide regular support to Ukraine in all spheres, helping to protect its sovereignty, independence, democracy, and territorial integrity against Russian aggression," stated the head of the Spanish parliament.
