The presidents of Ukraine and France meet to discuss military assistance and European integration. Zelenskyy thanked for the €5 billion in support.

A meeting between the presidents of Ukraine and France took place. This was reported by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, UNN reports.

This is the eighth meeting of the leaders this year, which once again confirmed the importance of cooperation between the two countries in difficult times. 

During the meeting, Volodymyr Zelenskyy expressed condolences over the recent tragedies on the island of Mayotte caused by Cyclone Shido. 

The leaders discussed a number of issues, including military assistance and the needs of Ukrainian defenders at the front. 

Zelenskyy thanked France for the support already provided, which totals more than 5 billion euros, as well as for its participation in international coalitions in support of Ukraine, in particular in the Ramstein format. The parties also discussed the creation of a second strategic reserve brigade in Ukraine with the support of the French side. 

In addition to military issues, the presidents discussed Ukraine's European integration path. Zelenskyy expressed gratitude for France's support in this direction, which is important for the future of the European community.
