Zelensky on the operation in the Kursk region: “It is going exactly as we expected”

President Zelenskyy said that the Ukrainian Armed Forces' operation in the Kursk region of Russia is going according to plan. He thanked the military for their bravery and reported on the strengthening of Ukraine's positions in the region.
The operation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kursk region of the Russian Federation is going exactly as planned, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said in his evening address, UNN reports.
Today, General Syrsky also reported on the continuation of our movement in the Kursk region. The operation is proceeding exactly as we expected. The bravery of Ukrainians is doing great things. We are now strengthening our positions. The bridgehead of our presence is getting stronger. I would like to thank every soldier who makes it possible: all soldiers, sergeants and commanders
The President also thanked each unit that replenishes the Ukrainian exchange fund with new Russian prisoners of war.
In addition, Zelenskyy noted that one important event this week was the reboot of the Ukrainian negotiating team and the entire infrastructure of exchanges.
"The Security Service of Ukraine, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Armed Forces, and the Foreign Intelligence Service have joined on an equal footing. The presence of the Ombudsman's infrastructure in the regions of Ukraine will also be strengthened to ensure transparent and high-quality work with relatives of prisoners and with civil society activists who are ready to help. This is our absolute priority - one of the ten points of the Peace Formula. And we will definitely do everything to ensure that Ukraine receives a just peace," Zelensky said.
