President Zelenskiy has appointed Oleh Ivashchenko as the new head of Ukraine's Foreign Intelligence Service, expecting him to work globally to counter Putin's system.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy introduced the head of the Foreign Intelligence Service, Oleh Ivashchenko, and told what he expects from him in his position and from the service in general. This was reported by UNN with reference to the President's Telegram channel.
I have appointed Combat General Oleh Ivashchenko as the new head of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine. He is a professional man who perfectly understands intelligence activities and our main state goal today. Ukrainian intelligence should work everywhere in the world where we have and may have interests. Everywhere in the world where Putin's system is trying to win something for itself, Ukraine should win

The Head of State noted that in times of war, there are things that are absolutely non-public, which the Service must provide promptly and efficiently.
"This is the potential of influence measures, intelligence work and actual military activity that Ukraine expects from you, and this is why the Foreign Intelligence Service is headed by a combat general," Zelensky added.
The President also thanked Oleksandr Lytvynenko for his work as the Head of the Foreign Intelligence Service.

On March 26, Volodymyr Zelenskyy dismissed Oleksiy Danilov from the post of Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council and immediately appointed Oleksandr Lytvynenko to replace him.
At the same time, Oleh Ivashchenko was appointed instead of Lytvynenko, who headed the Foreign Intelligence Service.
