President Zelenskyy congratulated Keir Starmer and the British Labor Party on their election victory, expressed hope for strengthening the Ukrainian-British partnership and restoring international peace and security, and thanked outgoing Prime Minister Rishi Sunak for his continued support for Ukraine.

"I congratulate Keir Starmer and the UK Labor Party on their convincing election victory. (...) I wish the new government every success both in domestic affairs and in strengthening the UK's leadership on the world stage. I look forward to working closely together to strengthen the Ukrainian-British partnership and restore international peace and security," Zelenskyy said in the X.
The Head of State emphasized that Ukraine and the UK have been and will remain reliable allies. "We will continue to defend and promote our common values - life, freedom and the international order based on rules," he said.
At the same time, the President thanked the outgoing British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak "for the unwavering support from the UK government under his leadership", calling him a "good friend". "Challenger tanks, Storm Shadow missiles, training our pilots on F-16s and the first bilateral security agreement are just some of our joint achievements that Ukraine will never forget. Thank you, Rishi," - Zelensky wrote.
