In October, Ukrainians bought 2.1 thousand new cars with gasoline engines, down 19% year-on-year. RENAULT Duster was the best-selling car, and VOLKSWAGEN Golf was the best-selling used car.
In October, Ukrainians bought 2.1 thousand new cars with gasoline engines, which is 19% less than last year, the Ukravtoprom association reported, naming the most popular gasoline cars in October, UNN reports.

"Ukrainians continue to prefer cars equipped with gasoline internal combustion engines. In October, 2.1 thousand new cars with gasoline engines joined the country's fleet. This is 19% less than last year," Ukravtoprom reported .
At the same time, the share of gasoline cars in total sales of new passenger cars has also decreased. In October 2023, they accounted for 45% of the new car market, while now they account for 36%.
The leader of the new gasoline car market last month was the compact crossover RENAULT Duster.
The TOP-5 models of new passenger cars with gasoline internal combustion engines include: RENAULT Duster - 249 units; SUZUKI SX4 - 109 units; MAZDA CX5 - 108 units; HYUNDAI Tucson - 103 units; KIA Sportage - 94 units.
Among imported used passenger cars, gasoline cars also hold the lead. Gasoline cars accounted for 46% of used cars that switched to Ukrainian license plates in October (over 7.5 thousand units). Their average age was 11 years.
