"Unjustified assets": the court confiscated a Lexus and 4 million hryvnias from the family of a Kharkiv policeman

The Supreme Anti-Corruption Court partially satisfied the claim of the SAP and confiscated a luxury Lexus LX 450D car and more than 4 million hryvnias of unjustified assets from the family of a Kharkiv law enforcement officer.
The High Anti-Corruption Court decided to recover a luxury car and more than four million hryvnias of unjustified assets from the family of a Kharkiv law enforcement officer for the benefit of the state. This is reported by UNN with reference to specialized anti-corruption literature.
The High Anti-Corruption Court partially satisfied the claim of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office to recognize as unjustified the assets used by the family of a police officer of the Kharkiv District Department of the National Police in the Kharkiv region for UAH 7.8 million and their recovery to the state (civil confiscation)
It is reported that on the basis of materials from the SBI, NACP and evidence obtained by the SAP prosecutor together with NABU detectives in accordance with the established procedure, it was found that the couple used an apartment in the city of Kharkiv. Also, the man and wife had a luxury car "Lexus LX 450D".
The ownership of the specified property is registered to the policeman's wife, but the analysis of income and expenses revealed the impossibility of acquiring these objects from legal sources
Given the above, the prosecutor appealed to the court with a claim to recover from the patrol police officer the mentioned assets, the legality of which raises reasonable doubt, to the state revenue.
The court partially satisfied the prosecutor's claim, recognized as unjustified assets and decided to recover to the state revenue a luxury car "Lexus LX 450D" and more than 4 million hryvnias, the legality of acquisition of which was not confirmed
They also clarified that the issue of appeal will be resolved after reviewing the full text of the court decision.
Addition
The High Anti-Corruption Court announced the verdict to ex-People's Deputy Ruslan Demchak, who was suspected of abuse of office, which caused serious consequences. Demchak was sentenced to 3 years of imprisonment and released from serving it with a probationary period of 1 year.
