Director of the Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise Oleksandr Ruvin toldwhat types of research are of primary importance during the examination of enemy UAVs and missiles.

"Depending on the specific issues raised by the experts, the main characteristics of the weapon are identified, the metals and materials from which it is made are analyzed, compared  with previous samples, and, if possible, reconstructed  and other tasks are performed. For example, computer modeling is used to analyze flight paths, possible launch sites, and explosion characteristics. In addition, the detection of serial numbers, markings and other identification marks of the preserved microelectronics allows us to identify the manufacturers of such products," Ruvin said.
