Defense forces are working to expand the bridgehead in the Krynky area.

Ukrainian troops are working to expand their foothold in the area of Krynky on the left bank of the Kherson region. Over the past day, Russians lost about 30 occupants in the Krynok area as a result of an unsuccessful assault. This was reported by the head of the joint coordination press center of the Defense Forces of southern Ukraine Natalia Humenyuk during a telethon on Friday, UNN reports.

"We are continuing the struggle, we are continuing it on the foothold where we are entrenched, and we are working to expand it. We are also continuing the counter-battery (struggle - ed.). For example, despite the fact that the enemy still keeps trying to attack, and they did conduct one assault over the past day, their losses in the Krynky area amounted to about 30 occupants - these are irretrievable and sanitary losses. They also lost two mortars. That is, the assault was unsuccessful again, and they returned to their positions with virtually nothing," said Humenyuk.

She also noted that the Russian occupiers still do not use armored vehicles, they remain under a command embargo, and it is obvious that assaults are becoming more difficult for them in terms of recruiting personnel to go on such an assault. Because they are spreading information that this is a one-way ticket.

In addition, she told us what the combat work of the Defense Forces is focused on.

"Our combat work is focused on the same areas - these are enemy boats near the islands in the Dnipro delta, where they are trying to maneuver to replenish ammunition for their observation posts and deploy new ones. And we are working to dismantle them. For instance, the ammunition supply point was destroyed, and we again worked on the vehicles that the enemy tried to maneuver with, placing new artillery positions near them," said Humenyuk.

She also said that the Ukrainian military is working to destroy the cannons.

"One cannon was confirmed destroyed over the past day, but the overall picture of shelling has changed slightly. The weather makes it harder for them to work with artillery and drones. Dense cloud cover and thick fog make it impossible to conduct high-quality targeting. But there is another danger here, they are shooting at residential areas," said Humenyuk.
