Ukraine will be the first to receive new enhanced Franco-Italian SAMP/T NG systems. France will also provide two SAMP/T complexes to strengthen defense this year.
Ukraine will be the first to receive new enhanced Franco-Italian SAMP/T NG systems. These are effective anti-ballistic missile systems. This was announced by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, commenting on the results of negotiations with French President Emmanuel Macron, reports UNN.

Zelenskyy stated that the result of negotiations with Emmanuel Macron and the work of our teams is an important agreement between Ukraine and France, a truly leadership step by France in defense cooperation with Ukraine in the interests of all of Europe.
The President of Ukraine outlined the key points:
- Ukraine receives licenses to produce very serious weapons – SCALP missiles, AASM bombs, and jointly with Italy also Aster 30 missiles. France will cooperate with us and other partners also within the framework of the FREYJA anti-ballistic missile program – our special future capability;
- Ukraine will be the first to receive new enhanced Franco-Italian SAMP/T NG systems. These are effective anti-ballistic missile systems. France will also provide two SAMP/T complexes to strengthen our defense this year. At the same time, France and Italy will accelerate deliveries of Aster 30 missiles by October this year.
- There will also be the purchase of the first 16 Rafale aircraft for Ukrainian combat aviation and their armament. Training of our pilots and mechanics in France should begin this year. After that, the first four Rafale aircraft will be transferred to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Reminder
Ukraine initiated the creation of an Integrated Coalition on Missile Defense, which nine European countries officially joined. The coalition will work on creating a pan-European anti-ballistic shield Freyja.
