Ukraine spent almost $3.3 billion on car imports: which countries supply the most

In 9 months of 2024, Ukraine imported 239 thousand passenger cars worth $3.3 billion. Germany, the US and China became the main suppliers of cars to Ukraine.
In the first nine months of 2024, Ukraine imported 239 thousand passenger cars, spending almost $3.3 billion. Compared to the previous year, the number of imported cars increased by 9%, and their total customs value by 14%. Writes UNN with reference to Ukravtoprom.
According to the State Statistics Service, from January to September 2024, Ukraine imported 239 thousand passenger cars (new and used). This figure is 9% higher than in the same period in 2023.
The total customs value of imported cars amounted to $3.276 billion, up 14% year-on-year.
Most cars were imported from Germany - 47.5 thousand units. The top three exporters also included the United States and China.
Top 10 countries supplying passenger cars:
1. Germany - 47,527 units;
2. 2. 37,367 units;
3. China - 28,653 units;
4. Japan - 24,065 units;
5. France - 12,565 units;
6. Korea - 12,497 units;
7. Czech Republic - 10,501 units;
8. Slovakia - 10,361 units;
9. 10,151 units in the United Kingdom;
10. Mexico - 10,066 units.
