Ukraine prepares for winter — five nuclear power units have completed repairs

Energoatom has completed scheduled repairs on five nuclear power units, preparing them for the heating season. Hydroelectric units and a gas turbine installation have also been repaired, which will increase electricity generation in winter.
Since the start of the scheduled maintenance campaign, five nuclear power units have already been prepared to operate during the heating season. This was reported by the National Nuclear Energy Generating Company "Energoatom," UNN writes.
Scheduled overhauls involving the refueling of five nuclear power units have been completed, as have repairs to two pumped-storage hydropower units, one hydroelectric power unit, and a mobile gas turbine unit. At the same time, repairs to other power units and hydropower units are ongoing
It is noted that during the winter, Energoatom will ensure the most efficient operation of all nine nuclear power units located in the territory under the control of the Ukrainian government. At the same time, this year the nuclear power workers reduced the total duration of scheduled maintenance by 21 days, providing the power system with additional electricity generation.
