Ukraine is ready to develop strategic relations with Syria: what Zelenskyy proposed

Ukrainian ministers pay an official visit to Damascus on behalf of President Zelensky. Ukraine will provide Syria with 500 tons of wheat flour, which will provide food for 33,000 Syrian families.
Ukraine appreciates the chance to restore normal and stable life in Syria and is ready to develop long-term, strategic relations. This was stated by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy in the social network X, UNN reports.
"On my instructions, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andriy Sybiga, together with the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Vitaliy Koval, paid a visit to Damascus," Zelenskyy said.
He also added that Ukraine supports the Syrian people in their efforts to overcome decades of dictatorial rule and restore stability, security and normal life in Syria.
In addition, Zelensky recalled Ukraine's support for Syria in the form of 500 tons of wheat flour.
"We greatly appreciate the chance to restore normal and stable life in Syria and are ready to develop long-term, strategic relations. I expect Ministers Sibiga and Koval to report on the results of their visit upon their return to Ukraine," the President of Ukraine noted.

More than 20 trucks with Ukrainian flour will arrive in Syria as part of the Grain from Ukraine program. The aid will provide food for 33,000 Syrian families for a month.
