Ukraine is hit by a second wave of abnormal heat: what forecasters warn about

In the coming days, almost the entire territory of Ukraine will be gripped by intense heat. In the western, central, and southern regions, temperatures will reach 35-38 degrees Celsius, and new temperature records are possible in some areas. Head of the Meteorological Forecasts Department of the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center, Nataliia Holenia, explained why the country has been hit by a heatwave, when to expect relief, and what dangerous phenomena it may bring, reports UNN.

According to the forecaster, the hottest weather is currently observed in Transcarpathia, but in the coming days, high temperatures will spread to almost the entire country. At the same time, the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center does not yet forecast a sharp rise in temperature to 40 degrees. Moreover, relief is expected by the end of this week.

However, the good news is that after the heatwave ends, weather conditions will change sharply. The anomalously hot weather will be replaced by thunderstorms, downpours, squalls, and even hail in places. These processes will be most active in the afternoon.
