The Ministry of Defense has launched the Iron Range project for free testing of weapons by Ukrainian manufacturers. Manufacturers will have access to testing grounds, expertise and advice to optimize their developments.

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, in cooperation with the Ministry of Strategic Industries and the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, has launched the Iron Range project. As part of the project, Ukrainian arms manufacturers will be able to test weapons free of charge in the early stages of design. This was reported by UNN with reference to the Ministry of Defense.

According to the Ministry of Defense, the main goal of the Iron Range is to provide manufacturers with the opportunity to test their products in real-world conditions and evaluate their effectiveness with the help of military research institutes.

Weapon manufacturers will be provided with professional expertise, support during testing, advice from military experts, and help to develop a test methodology.

Thanks to the project, manufacturers will be able to receive prompt feedback, optimize development, and speed up the supply of weapons and equipment to the front line.

This project is an important milestone in the development of the Ukrainian defense industry, as it allows arms and equipment manufacturers to significantly reduce the time required to test and bring their products to the standards required for real combat operations. This is not just an opportunity for testing - it is a strategic approach to providing the Defense Forces with the weapons they need now and today, not potentially in the future

- explained Deputy Defense Minister Ivan Havryliuk.

The project offers access to training grounds equipped with everything necessary for testing various types of military products.
