Ukrainians will face a rather difficult situation starting in mid-May, according to the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine , said Kyrylo Budanov, head of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, in an interview with the BBC, UNN reports.

When asked about the situation on the battlefield, Budanov emphasized that he was talking about the frontline as well.
"This is a comprehensive approach, because the Russians will use a comprehensive approach. They are conducting a comprehensive operation. We will not talk about it for a long time, but it will be a difficult period," the DIU chief said.
He also clarified that it was "mid-May- early June.

In an interview with NBC News, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Russia intends to capture Chasiv Yar in Donetsk region by May 9, but Ukrainian defenders expect to withstand and repel the enemy's offensive.
