During the conversation with the officials, Elvin Kadyrov spoke about human rights violations in the temporarily occupied Crimea committed by Russia. In particular, he spoke about the violation of freedom of speech and the ban on peaceful assemblies, repressions against Crimean Tatars in the field of studying their native language and numerous arbitrary arrests for political and religious reasons.

Elvin Kadyrov noted that today more than 40 illegally convicted citizens of Ukraine, most of whom are representatives of the indigenous Crimean Tatar people, are in dire need of medical care,” Lubinets added.
