UAH 3 million worth of drugs seized from two drug labs in Cherkasy region

In Cherkasy region, two drug laboratories producing Alpha-PVP and amphetamine were exposed. Law enforcement officers seized drugs worth UAH 3 million and detained five suspects.
Two drug laboratories were exposed in Cherkasy region and UAH 3 million worth of “goods” was seized, five people were served with a notice of suspicion . UNN reports this with reference to the Office of the Prosecutor General.
According to law enforcement, a group of people organized and managed two drug laboratories in Cherkasy region. They produced dangerous psychotropic substances, including Alpha-PVP and amphetamine.
The dealers organized the sale of drugs through Telegram channels. The goods were delivered to customers through postal services and bookmarks. For the purpose of secrecy, they used cryptocurrency for payments.
The accomplices distributed the proceeds of drug trafficking among themselves and spent them on their own needs.
Law enforcement officers conducted 22 searches and seized more than 2.5 kg of Alpha-PVP and 5 kg of its residues, 1 kg of cannabis, 160 liters of precursors and production equipment. The value of the seized goods is over UAH 3 million at black market prices.
Under the procedural supervision of prosecutors of the Prosecutor General's Office, five members of the group were served a notice of suspicion on illegal manufacture, storage, transportation and sale of especially dangerous psychotropic substances (Art. 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
Currently, they have been imposed a pre-trial restraint in the form of detention.
