A Ukrainian family with two children managed to escape from the russian-occupied town of Hola Prystan in Kherson Oblast to Ukraine-controlled territory to avoid the forced russification of their children's education.
A family with two children was returned from the occupied Kherson region to the territory controlled by Ukraine. This was reported by the Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights Dmytro Lubinets, UNN reports.

A 12-year-old boy and a 5-year-old girl left the town of Hola Prystan, which is now temporarily occupied, with their parents. russian soldiers searched the Ukrainians' home three times, and refused to inspect the house without guns in order not to frighten the children
According to him, the family did not let the children out of the yard. And after the illegal "elections", which were held under duress and shelling, a neighbor-collaborator said that the "new government" would deprive children who do not attend russian schools of parental care.
In this regard, the family wanted to move to Ukraine so that the son could continue to receive Ukrainian education and the daughter could go to the 1st grade at a Ukrainian school.

The children have already received tablets, so they will be able to learn in a convenient way. They will also be assisted in applying to school, choosing clubs and receiving psychological help if necessary.

The ombudsman explained that the residents of town have a pro-Ukrainian position, and teenagers have the courage to even voice it, but the russians take them to a field and shoot them near their heads to intimidate them.
He also noted that many residents of the city suffered from the occupiers' explosion of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant. According to them, when the water receded, more than 1,000 bodies were found in the city, and many of them are still missing.
