The US president-elect said his team is working to end the war in Ukraine and “there has already been a little progress.

US President-elect  Donald Trump said that his team is trying to stop the war in Ukraine and there is already a little progress. This reports UNN with reference to CNN.

"We are trying to stop the war, the terrible, terrible war that is being waged in Ukraine ... We're making a little bit of progress. It's difficult. It's not pleasant. It's nasty," Trump said.

Trump claims that people are being killed at levels no one has ever seen.

"These are very flat fields and the only thing that stops a bullet is a body, a human body. The number of soldiers killed on both sides is astronomical. What's happening there is far worse than what people on both sides are reporting, so we're going to do everything we can, and we're doing everything we can, and we'll see what happens," Trump asserted.

Trump promised to end the war in Ukraine on his first day in office, but has yet to present a meaningful peace plan. Trump warned that Ukraine is likely to see less U.S. support once he takes office.
