Details
According to the publication, Jennifer Hegseth - the wife of Pentagon chief Pete Hegseth and a former Fox News producer - was present at her husband's talks with UK Secretary of State for Defence John Healey and the country's Chief of the Defence Staff Admiral Tony Radakin. The meeting took place at the Pentagon on March 6 at a difficult time for the transatlantic alliance, a day after the US announced it had stopped sharing military intelligence with Ukraine.
In addition, in February, Hegseth attended a meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group at NATO headquarters in Brussels.
Sources told the publication that some foreign participants in the meetings did not know who Hegseth was. Others were surprised by her presence but did not object. It is unclear whether this affected the discussions.
