Over the past day, the level of the Dnipro River within Kyiv has risen by 46 cm to 607 cm above the "0" mark, but there is no threat of flooding in the capital.

The level of the Dnipro River in Kyiv has risen sharply  - over the past day, the water has risen  by 46 cm. However, there is no threat of flooding to the capital. This was stated by the Kyiv City Military Administration, UNN reports.

Over the past day, the Dnipro river level within Kyiv has risen by 46 cm. As of 18.04.2014, it is 607 cm above the "0" post. Water temperature - 13 degrees Celsius

It is noted that the city has been declared at the first (yellow) level of danger of hydrological phenomena.

However, at the moment, the floods do not pose a threat to Kyiv. No emergency flooding has been recorded in the city. Industrial facilities and residential areas of the city are out of danger

The agency also emphasized that monitoring of this year's floods is ongoing. The KCMA also added that the highest figure last year on April 18 was 657 cm above zero.
