The US is launching new strikes on Iran ahead of the blockade

US Central Command has launched additional strikes on Iran to weaken its ability to attack shipping in the Strait of Hormuz. A naval blockade of Iranian ports is also being prepared, which comes into effect at 23:00 Kyiv time.
The U.S. Central Command reported that American troops are launching further attacks on Iran, reports UNN.
Today at 3:00 p.m. Eastern Time (10:00 p.m. Kyiv time - ed.), forces of the U.S. Central Command began an additional round of strikes on Iran to further degrade Iranian capabilities used to attack commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz
The statement also noted that the strikes are taking place as American troops prepare to reinstate a naval blockade of Iranian ports and coastal areas. The blockade takes effect at 4:00 p.m. Eastern Time (11:00 p.m. Kyiv time).
