Russian troops shelled the border of Chernihiv region eight times during the day with various types of weapons, including a helicopter, causing 42 explosions. This was reported on Tuesday by the Northern Regional Office of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, UNN reported.

"The Russian occupation army continues to use its usual tactics of terror and shells numerous civilian objects in our country. During the day, Russian troops struck the border of Chernihiv region with various types of weapons in eight cases. Forty-two explosions were recorded," the regional office of the State Border Guard Service reported on Facebook.
As indicated, hostile attacks were registered:
- Novhorod-Siverska community: 3 explosions (probably from a 120-mm mortar) in the direction of Hremyach village.
- Semenivka community: 38 explosions (probably from a 120-mm mortar) and 1 explosion (probably from an NAR launched from an enemy helicopter), in the direction of Leonivka, Tymonovychi, Lubyane and Liskivshchyna.
There is no information on deaths and injuries among the local population as a result of the shelling.
According to the "Sever" military group, 2 private houses in Tymonovychi were damaged as a result of shelling.
