In Ukraine, from July 20, shutdown schedules will be eased: what is known
Kyiv • UNN
The situation in the power grid is expected to improve by the end of July as repairs at several power plants are completed and temperatures drop, reducing the system's deficit.
The situation in the power supply system is expected to improve by the end of July, as repairs are scheduled to be completed at a number of power plants that produce electricity. This was announced by Yuriy Boyko, a member of the Supervisory Board of NPC Ukrenergo, on Suspilne TV, UNN reports.
According to Boyko, based on the analysis of the seasonal load in the system and the expected schedules for restoring generating equipment after the Russian attacks, the power engineers predicted that June and July would be the most difficult in the power system.
"I can only confirm that we expect the situation to improve at the end of July, as there are a number of positive expectations in terms of the power generation equipment coming out of repair. Also, the temperature is traditionally expected to drop in our climate region. These two factors should mitigate the situation in the system," he said.
Boyko emphasized that the situation would remain the same until about July 20.
"In the twentieth of July, we are planning to start repairing a number of generating units, and accordingly, the power in the system should be available, which will lead to a significant easing of the schedules. The deficit will remain, but it will be much lower," added Boyko.

Ruslan Slobodian, head of the State Inspectorate for Energy Supervision of Ukraine, said that if a consumer sees in the schedule that they should have electricity, but it has not been turned on, they should notify their distribution system operator to find out why.
