The political scientist explained what is needed to implement the idea of a model for finding solutions with Russia, which was voiced by Zelensky

To implement a model based on the example of the "grain corridor" to find solutions with Russia, we need countries that support Ukraine on the one hand and, on the other hand, that will not cause any major reservations on the part of Russia. But these countries or a country should take on certain obligations and guarantees. This opinion was expressed by political scientist Igor Reiterovich.
To implement a model based on the example of the "grain corridor" to find solutions with Russia, we need countries that support Ukraine on the one hand and, on the other hand, that will not cause any major reservations on the part of Russia. But these countries or a country should take on certain obligations and guarantees. This opinion was expressed by political scientist Ihor Reiterovych to the UNN journalist, commenting on President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's statement on the model that can be used to find solutions with Russia.
The President said that we could consider a grain agreement, which would include countries. That is, these should be countries that support Ukraine on the one hand, and on the other hand, countries that will not cause any major reservations on the part of Russia. Therefore, there may be any options here - the US, the EU, China, perhaps some other countries, but this is still an idea that has been thrown into the public space, but it is not a fact that such a country is being searched for. These countries, or the country itself, must take on certain obligations and guarantees. I am not sure that there are countries that are ready for this now
Asked whether the US under Trump would see any benefit in being a mediator, Reiterowicz replied: "We don't know about that because Trump himself doesn't know about that. He is a classic situationalist, he makes decisions situationally, if he sees that it is beneficial to him, he may make such a decision, if he sees that it is not beneficial to him, he will not make this decision, we must proceed from this.
According to him, the United States, at least under President Biden, is not ready for direct negotiations with Russia as a guarantee.
"We see it in the format we would like. Will the situation change under Trump, maybe yes, but maybe not. We need to wait until the elections are over, and in any case, this is not a matter of this year, but of next year," Reiterovich said.
Addendum
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that only one model can be used so far to find solutions with Russia on territorial integrity, energy and free navigation, based on the example of the grain corridor, when Turkey and the UN signed an agreement separately with Russia and Ukraine.
Zelensky also stated that Ukraine will try to do everything to ensure that various powerful countries try to end the war fairly.
