The Ministry of Defense reports that 4.6 million citizens have updated their military records, which is far more than the Armed Forces need. There is currently no urgent need to lower the mobilization age, but the situation may change.
According to the Ministry of Defense, 4.6 million citizens have updated their data, which is significantly higher than the needs of the army. This was stated by Defense Ministry spokesman Dmytro Lazutkin in an interview with NV, UNN reports.
As of July 17, 4.6 million people liable for military service, conscripts and reservists have updated their personal data. The number of people mobilized through recruitment has increased significantly
According to him, the law on mobilization encouraged citizens to actively participate in the defense of their country, to seek opportunities to serve in the Armed Forces of Ukraine based on their skills and education. Now, thanks to the updated database that can be used by the CCC representatives, it is possible to engage people in service more effectively.
"Now the pace of mobilization has increased. We have indicators that are significantly different from those in late winter or early spring. The main thing is not to lose this pace and to ensure that systematic replenishment is actually taking place. 4.6 million people liable for military service have updated their data. This already shows that there is a base to work with," says Lazutkin.
He says that the situation with mobilization has transformed significantly, and now people's motivation is different. Previously, decisions were made on an emotional level, but now they are more deliberate. People consciously choose a specific unit, brigade or position, which determines their future fate. Each such choice is a difficult decision. That is why it is important to treat those who choose to serve in the army and the military path with great respect.
Currently, the number of people who have updated their military registration data far exceeds the needs of the army at the moment. So, as of now, there is no urgent need to lower the mobilization age. But the situation in the war depends on many factors, and it can change. For now, we see no such need
