The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has implemented a single electronic outpatient journal in the MIS of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which will replace 11 paper journals. The innovation will reduce time spent on documentation and speed up the processing of medical documents.

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has introduced a unified electronic outpatient journal in the Medical Information System of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (MIS AFU), which will replace 11 paper medical journals. This was reported by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, as conveyed by UNN.
Previously, military medics were forced to duplicate patient information in various paper documents. From now on, all data will be entered into a single electronic outpatient journal.
The Ministry of Defense notes that the innovation will reduce the time spent on documentation and allow more attention to be paid to the treatment of military personnel. In addition, all patient information will be stored in one place, and the processing of certificates, referrals, documents for the military medical commission, and other medical documents will become faster.
The department emphasized that the new approach does not involve digitizing old paper forms — they are being abolished. From now on, medical data will be entered directly into the secure Medical Information System of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
