A Mercedes driver crashed into an underground passage in Kyiv at high speed, causing the deaths of four people. Previously, he had repeatedly exceeded the speed limit and was involved in four road accidents.

The driver of the Mercedes, who crashed at high speed into a capital underground passage causing the deaths of four people, had been repeatedly held administratively liable for speeding, UNN reports, citing the Prosecutor General's Office.
It has been preliminarily established that he (the Mercedes-Benz driver - ed.) had been repeatedly held administratively liable for speeding. He is also a participant in four traffic accidents, two of which occurred this year

As reported by the Prosecutor General's Office, it is currently known that the 49-year-old driver of the Mercedes-Benz, a resident of the Kherson region, lost control of the vehicle while speeding and drove into an underground passage where people were present.
Two men, a woman, and a 12-year-old boy died at the scene. Three other people sustained injuries.
The driver was extricated from the car by rescuers and is currently in the hospital.
Under the procedural guidance of the Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office, a pre-trial investigation has been initiated under Part 3 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine regarding the fatal accident on Chokolivskyi Boulevard
