On April 2, the International Register of Damage from Russian Aggression (RD4U) will start accepting the first applications for compensation for damage, loss or injury caused by Russian aggression against Ukraine.

The International Register of Damage from Russian Aggression (RD4U) will start accepting the first applications on April 2. This is reported on the registry's website, UNN reports.

On April 2, 2024, RD4U will officially open the process of applying for compensation for damage, loss or injury caused by Russian aggression against Ukraine

The registry will reportedly be presented in The Hague as part of the ministerial conference "Restoring Justice for Ukraine" in the presence of Council of Europe Secretary General Marija Pejčinović Burić, heads of international organizations, ministers and high-ranking officials from more than 60 countries.

 On April 2, the Register will start accepting applications for war-related damage or destruction of residential property. It is expected that between 300,000 and 600,000 applications will be submitted in this category.

Later, RD4U plans to launch additional categories, paying special attention to applications from people most affected by the war, as well as applications related to damage or destruction of Ukraine's critical infrastructure.

Applications will be submitted to RD4U through the Diia app.
