The first wind farm was launched in test mode in Zakarpattia region. The total capacity of the wind farm will be 80 MW, which will provide electricity to 50,000 households annually.

The State Inspectorate for Energy Supervision of Ukraine has reported that the first wind farm has been launched in Zakarpattia, UNN reports .

Details

The plant is currently operating in test mode with a capacity of 1.8 MW. It is equipped with a 4.8 MW turbine, has a tower height of 120 m and a rotor diameter of 152 m. One such windmill has the potential to provide electricity to up to 3,000 households.

The agency notes that the total installed capacity of the planned wind farm will be 80 MW. The amount of electricity to be produced is enough to supply 50,000 households annually.

The launch of this facility is an important step in the development of wind energy in Ukraine and helps reduce dependence on traditional energy sources,
