The experts of the Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise discussed with foreign partners the algorithm of actions in case of possible use of chemical warfare agents by the enemy.

Specialists of Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise together with foreign partners modeled situations of possible use of chemical warfare agents by the enemy and discussed the algorithm of necessary actions in such cases. Oleksandr Ruvin, Director of Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise, reported on the results of participation in the consultative meeting on chemical forensics and analysis, as well as command and staff exercises that recently took place in Poland, in his Telegram channel, according to UNN.

According to him, the meeting was organized by the Nonproliferation and Disarmament Fund (NDF) of the US Department of State and the Weapons Proliferation Prevention Program (PPP) of the Threat Reduction Agency (TRA).

"The participants discussed the issues of interaction between state authorities and institutions of Ukraine in case of possible use of chemical warfare agents by the enemy. CBRN is an abbreviation that combines chemical, biological, radioactive, nuclear and explosive agents of maximum destruction. The work covered the process of work of all involved participants at the scene, collection of samples for research, storage, processing and transfer of evidence, etc.

It is important to note that the work of the delegates was based not only on the format of theoretical discussions and debates, but also on the consideration of practical cases - modeling situations under different scenarios and the necessary actions for all participants to respond," said the Director of KFI.

He added that such events help our foreign partners to better understand the specifics of the Ukrainian expert community's work in today's environment, provide their recommendations and jointly develop the best mechanisms of interaction.

Recall

A group of international experts recently visited Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise to familiarize themselves with the evidence of crimes committed by the Russian military against Ukraine. The foreign colleagues saw with their own eyes the process of implementing expert work in the field of military studies.

Among the objects inspected were parts and fragments of Russian missiles recently used against Ukraine. The guests saw with their own eyes that most of the microelectronics components of these missiles were manufactured outside of Russia.
