On the night of June 7, the enemy attacked the site of the Centralized Spent Nuclear Fuel Storage Facility with a drone; the container reception building was partially destroyed. As reported by Energoatom, the radiation situation remains within normal limits, UNN reports.

On June 7, 2026, at 02:10, as a result of a hit by an enemy unmanned aerial vehicle at the site of the Centralized Spent Nuclear Fuel Storage Facility (CSFSF), the container reception building was partially destroyed (spent nuclear fuel was not stored in it)

The fire source, covering an area of 40 square meters, was promptly localized and completely extinguished. There were no casualties among the personnel.

As reported by Energoatom, the radiation situation at the CSFSF site remains within normal limits.

The latest strike on a nuclear infrastructure facility has once again demonstrated to the entire world the true face of the Kremlin regime, which deliberately creates threats to nuclear and radiation safety. Russia continues to act as a terrorist state and a nuclear terrorist, disregarding international law and the safety of millions of people

Energoatom added that they continue continuous monitoring of the situation and are fully cooperating with all responsible state services.
