The case of former Deputy Minister of Community Development Lozynskyi: a verdict has been announced for one of the participants

The court approved a plea agreement with the defendant in the case of former Deputy Minister Lozynsky. The defendant received a 5-year suspended sentence and has to transfer boiler houses worth UAH 45 million to the Armed Forces.
The High Anti-Corruption Court approved a plea agreement concluded between the SAPO prosecutor and one of the defendants in the case of giving and receiving undue advantage by former Deputy Minister of Community Development Vasyl Lozynsky. UNN reports this with reference to the SAPO.
"On December 18, 2024, the HACC approved a plea agreement concluded between the SAPO prosecutor and one of the defendants in the case of providing and receiving undue benefits by the former Deputy Minister of Community Development," the statement said.
It is reported that according to the agreement, the court found the person guilty of providing an undue benefit to an official who held the position of Deputy Minister of Community Development for the purchase of mobile boiler units from a business entity controlled by the accused for the smooth passage of the heating season, that is, of committing a criminal offense under Part 4 of Art. 369 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
"The court sentenced her to 5 years in prison. At the same time, pursuant to Article 75 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, the court released the person from serving the main sentence with probation, setting a probationary period of 3 years. Also, the person is obliged to provide truthful and detailed incriminating testimony regarding the participation and role of other persons in the commission of the crime," the SAPO informs.
In addition, the person undertakes to transfer boiler houses worth about UAH 45 million to the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and to transfer more than UAH 5 million to the United 24 Foundation.

Vasyl Lozynsky was detained by law enforcement in January this year on suspicion of receiving a $400,000 bribe for facilitating the conclusion of contracts for the purchase of equipment and machinery at inflated prices.
In October 2023, the SAPO completed an investigation into the case of Vasyl Lozynskyi, former Deputy Minister of Community, Territorial and Infrastructure Development, for receiving an undue benefit of $400,000.
