It is noted that the case concerning Szijjártó's alleged receipt of a bribe, which was initially handled by the prosecutor's office, was transferred to the Budapest Police Headquarters, as this falls more within its area of responsibility.

It is reported that, after receiving a complaint regarding the alleged commission of a crime by the former minister, the prosecutor's office stated that the information provided by the complainant "may indicate the crime of accepting a bribe." At the same time, since Szijjártó is no longer a member of parliament and does not have immunity, if the case progresses and his guilt is proven, he could face up to three years in prison.
