The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine ordered the creation of full-time recruiting units in each brigade. Commanders will be able to recruit volunteers directly without applying to the military recruitment center.
Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrsky has ordered each brigade commander to create a full-time recruiting unit, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported on Monday, UNN reports.
The relevant organizational directive sets out the task of forming full-time recruiting units in combat military units. This innovation will allow commanders to improve the organization and support of volunteer recruitment activities
The General Staff reminded that on October 1 this year, amendments were made to Government Resolution No. 560 of May 16, 2024, which allows commanders to call up volunteers directly to military units without contacting territorial recruitment and social support centers.
Prior to that, the Armed Forces of Ukraine had recruiting centers in the Army, Navy, Air Assault Forces, Special Operations Forces, and Territorial Defense Forces. Today, they continue to actively develop and improve their capabilities, the General Staff noted.
