The President of Ukraine signed a law establishing supervisory and expert councils at the National Museum of the Holodomor Genocide. This will allow the museum to monitor its activities in the face of the Russian invasion.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed the Law on Amendments to the Law of Ukraine "On Museums and Museum Affairs" regarding the activities of the National Museum of the Holodomor Genocide (№3884-IX), UNN reports.

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted the act on July 18.

The aim is to create legislative conditions for controlling the activities of the National Museum of the Holodomor Genocide in the context of the full-scale invasion of Russia.

"The law proposes a procedure for the formation and determination of the powers of the supervisory board and expert council of the museum, which should include representatives of professional and scientific groups, international organizations and descendants of Holodomor victims," the Verkhovna Rada reported.
