Russian troops shelled Komar village in Donetsk region, killing one employee of the village council and injuring 14 of her colleagues.
Russian troops shelled Komar village in Donetsk region, hitting near the village council building, killing a village council employee and wounding 14 of her colleagues, the Donetsk regional prosecutor's office said on Friday, UNN reported.

"On July 5, 2024, the Russian army conducted 3 strikes on the village of Komar, Volnovakha district. The target of the attack was the central part of the village. As a result of the hit of one of the munitions near the building of the village council, 15 employees of the institution who were inside the building during the shelling were injured. [12 women and three men were taken to the hospital. One of the victims, a 32-year-old woman, died from her severe injuries while receiving medical care," the prosecutor's office reported on social media.
The private sector of the village was also reportedly under fire from Russian troops. The final number of casualties and the type of weapons used by the enemy are being established.
The administrative building, residential buildings, outbuildings and vehicles were damaged in the settlement.
A pre-trial investigation into the violation of the laws and customs of war (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) has been initiated.
